From December 1, 2023, Russia will launch a year-long experiment to mark optical fibers and fiber-optic cables in the "Honest Mark" (“Честный ЗНАК”) system. This strategic move was initiated by the signing of government resolution No. 1929 on November 16, 2023, encompassing optical fibers (HS code 9001 10 900 1) and fiber-optic cables (HS code 8544 70 000 0) for the electronic labeling of goods and tracking information on goods.
