SDPPI Releases Key Regulations On Approval Rules
2024-03-29
During the end of March 2024, the Indonesian SDPPI continuously issued a few important regulations, which may bring changes for further applications of SDPPI approval. Please find below a summary of each newly issued regulation.
- PERMEN KOMINFO NO 3 TAHUN 2024
As a basic rule of SDPPI approval, this regulation contains the following important information, effective from May 23, 2024:
1. Test Report Acceptance:
Reports must come from SDPPI-accredited labs and be within 5 years preceding the Certificate application date.
2. Labeling Requirements:
The following information is required: Certificate number and PEG ID; QR Code; warning signs (previously not required for devices only with SRD specifications but now mandatory for all telecommunication equipment).
Labels should be affixed to both the product and its packaging. If the product is too small, it's acceptable to affix the label only on the packaging.
3. SDPPI has also introduced the possibility of family approval:
If the products have the same RF specification, the same brand and type, with a transmit power below 10 mW, it is possible to subject them to family approval. Please note that if the country of origin (COO) is different, a separate certificate is still required.
- KEPMEN KOMINFO NOMOR 177 TAHUN 2024
This regulation introduces the newest SAR requirement for SDPPI approval. According to this regulation, domestic (Indonesian local) testing for SAR is mandatory for Cellular Telephones or Tablet Computers, starting from April 1, 2024 (head) / August 1, (body/limb).
- KEPDIRJEN SDPPI NO 109 TAHUN 2024
