Saudi Arabia Issue Draft RoHS Technical Regulation

On 20th November 2020, Saudi Arabia Regulator - Saudi Arabian Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) issued a Draft Technical Regulation for Saudi Arabia RoHS requirements, with the aim to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The regulation mainly defines the controlled product category and the conformity assessment procedure for RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) in Saudi Arabia. Public consultation on the draft technical regulation is open until January 19, 2021, and the regulation is expected to be implemented from June 7, 2021.
