Thailand Issued New Standards

The NBTC TS 1011-2560 (vehicle radar update standard) was released by Thailand NBTC in February 9, 2018, which will replace the NBTC TS 1011-2557. Date of entry into force: February 10, 2018.

Summary of the standards and Notification:

(1) Vehicle radar are allowed to use following frequency:

Maximum radiated peak power : eirp not over 100 mW or 20 dBm
24.25-26.65 GHz
Maximum radiated average power density : eirp not over -41.3 dBm/MHz
76-77 GHz
Peak power : eirp not over 55 dBm
77-81 GHz
Peak power : eirp not over 55 dBm
(2) Vehicle radar are exempted to License to trade except for domestic manufacturer or importer.(seller/distributor are exempted for Trade License, But domestic manufacturer or importer will require Trade License).

(3) Car manufacturer that install vehicle radar shall prepare a warning statement to indicate safety use distance that are with safety level of electromagnetic field from the vehicle radar in order to relief user and consumer concern.

There will be special process for vehicle radar 22.0-24.05 GHz and 24.25-26.65GHz type approval, import license and manufacture license.
