South Korea Revises Electromagnetic Compatibility Technology Standard
2018-04-09

Pre-notification for the revision of EMC technical standard to collect public opinions until June 3rd for wireless power transmission devices and microwaves.

This will be effective 3 months later after publishing it.

1. Add radiated emission limit to wireless power transmission device for the home over 10 W power as below:

Frequency(MHz)
QP limit(dB(uA/m)) at 3 m distance
0.009 ~ 0.070

0.070 ~ 0.1485
69 ~ 39
0.1485 ~ 4.0
39 ~ 3
4.0 ~ 30

Note : The limit below 10 W could be applied to this device over 10 W.

2. Revise the radiation disturbance weighted limit over 1 GHz for microwave

Frequency range GHz

2.5 – 5.725

Weighted measurements with a resolution bandwidth of 1MHz and video bandwidth of 10 Hz.

NOTE To check the limits of this table, measurements need only be performed around two center frequencies: the highest emission in the 1005 MHz – 2395 MHz range the highest peak emission in the 2505 MHz to 17995 MHz range (outside the band 5720 MHz – 5880 MHz). At these two centre frequencies, measurements are performed with a span of 10 MHz on the spectrum analyser.

Measure with a span of 10MHz on the spectrum analyzer in below several frequency ranges instead of 2 frequency ranges. The frequency range is as follows:

-1005 ~ 2395 MHz, 2505 ~ 6125MHz (outside 5720 ~ 5880MHz), 6125 ~ 8575 MHz, 8575 ~ 11025MHz, 11025 ~ 13475MHz, 13475 ~ 15925MHz, 15925 ~ 17995MHz
