Mexico IFT Replaced by CRT

Mexico’s telecommunication regulatory structure is undergoing major changes. The commissioners of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (CRT) have been officially ratified, which means that the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) ceased to exist on October 17, 2025.

During this transition, the Homologation area will stop receiving submissions for five days. It is important to note that delays are expected for all Type Approval related processes during this period.

According to official information, all current regulations remain in effect until the CRT introduces any modifications.
