India Issues New Notice

The Telecommunications Engineering Center (TEC) of India has issued a TEC / 10/2018-TC notice confirming the list of tested and certified telecommunications equipment. From January 1, 2019, the first batch of equipment will require TEC mandatory certification. From April 1, 2019, the second batch of equipment must be certified by TEC.

Mandatory testing and certification of MT and CTE procedures was published by TEC in October 2018 via TEC / MP / DD / TCP-702/02.

After January 1, 2019, equipment imported or sold in India that requires testing and certification is as follows:

1. Telephone tools;

2. modem;

3. Audio conferencing equipment;

4. Fax machine;

5. ISDN CPE;

6. Radio and transmission products including microwave ovens;

7. UHF and VHF equipment;

8. MRTS equipment;

9. Satellite equipment;

10. WiFi access point and controller;

11. DWDM equipment;

12. Digital cross-connect;

13. Multiplexed equipment;

14. SDH equipment and cordless telephones.

After April 1, 2019, equipment imported or sold in India that requires testing and certification is as follows:

1. GPON equipment;

2. DSL equipment;

3. IP terminal;

4. PABX;

5. Media gateway;

6. Signaling gateway;

7. SBC;

8. Soft switch;

9. Mobile devices;

10. BTS;

11. Repeater;

12. Compact cellular network;

13. Router;

14. LAN switches and loT devices, as well as any other telecommunication devices not specified in paragraph 1.
