Eurasian Economic Commission Adopts Amendments Of Regulation For EAEU EAC Certification

On June 10 2022, “Decision No.90”, “Decision No. 91” is adopted by Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The adopted Decisions confirms amendments to Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) regulations – TR CU 004/2011 (safety of low-voltage equipment) and TR CU 020/2011 (EMC).
Please find below important modifications accordingly.
1. Update the list of products that do not apply to the TR CU 004/2011 regulation:
(1) Second-hand products
(2) Products under TR CU 010/2011, TR CU 011/2011, TR CU 012/2011(cables, cords and wires are excluded)
(3) Product used for manufacturing and not used for commercial activity
(4) Built-in components
(5) Accessories and components which cannot be operated independently
2. Update the list of products that do not apply to the TR CU 020/2011 regulation:
(1) Product that used as components of other end-product and cannot be operated independently
(2) Passive component
(3) Second-hand products
(4) Medical products
(5) Others (intended use for military, safety atomic power)
(6) For those products that fall into other EAEU regulation, which has already EMC requirement
The resolution also updated the list of products applicable to EAEU EAC “mandatory certification” (CoC) and supplemented the definitions of terms in the regulations. The revised regulations will take effect from December 11, 2022.
