On August 19, 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam(MOIT) drafted a new RoHS regulation - "National technical regulation on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment" , while seeking the public comments.
The main differences between the new draft RoHS regulation and the current RoHS regulation (Circular 30/2011/TT-BCT) are as follows:
1) Add DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP as restricted substances;
2) Updates the list of controlled products;
3) Add requirements for technical regulations conformity mark.
The draft regulation is scheduled to come into force on January 1, 2026, All parties concern can submit comments and suggestions before October 17, 2022.
