On September 23, 2022, the General Office of the State Council in the People's Republic of China issued “No.31, 2022 - Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Deepening the Reform of the Management System of the Electronic and Electrical Industry”.
Involved main points are summarized as follows:
1. China Compulsory Certification (CCC)
Lithium-ion batteries and power adapters/chargers are newly included in compulsory certification list, and compulsory certification management is no longer implemented for other 9 products such as data terminals and multimedia terminals.
2. Telecom Equipment Network Access License (MII)
a. Satellite Internet equipment and functional virtualization equipment are newly included in the Network access license management, and the network access license management is no longer implemented for 11 types of telecommunication equipment such as fixed telephone terminals and fax machines.
b. Extend the validity period of the network access trial approval from 1 year to 2 years.
c. Implement the electronic network access license mark.
3. Type Approval of Radio Transmission Equipment (SRRC)
Extend the validity period of some "Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate" to more than 2 years.
According to the communication between MRT and official agencies, the detailed implementation rules of the document No.31, 2022 are under discussion and will be announced later.
