EAEU Publishes New Energy Efficiency Requirements for Power Consuming Products

Recently, EEC Council  has adopted the EAEU Technical Regulation “On requirements for energy efficiency of power consuming devices”. The new specifies energy efficiency requirements for the following types of products:

Refrigerators

Televisions

Computers

Washing machines

Dishwashers

Air conditioners

Room fans

Water pumps and other electrical appliances

The document also outlines marking requirements and energy efficiency classes.

The regulation was developed by the he Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) together with the EAEU countries to ensure energy efficiency of the devices and thus save energy resources.

Once the EAEU TR comes in force, power consuming device will be put on the Union market only after its conformation to the relevant technical regulations’ requirements.

Please, remember, once the device is confirmed to all the relevant EAEU technical regulations, EAC conformity mark should be affixed.
