Safety Approvals for Consumer Electronics in the EAEU
Consumer electronics products entering the EAEU must meet the requirements of the technical regulation TR CU 004/2011 On the Safety of Low-Voltage Equipment.
The EAEU issued this regulation for low-voltage equipment to protect public life, health, and property and prevent misleading actions of users.
Technical regulation is relevant to electrical equipment suitable for use at a nominal voltage of 50-1000V alternate current and of 75-1500 V direct current.
All the companies that sell or distribute low-voltage electrical and electronic equipment to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union are subject to conformity assessment against TR CU 004/2011.
