New MIC Vietnam Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT

MIC Vietnam has released Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT dated 09 July 2019 to replace Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT – New list of product under MIC Type Approval and DoC. Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT shall enter in force since 01 Sept 2019.

Highlighted features:

1. Type Approval certificate and ADoC granted based on expired or expiring National Technical Regulation (QCVN) and National Technical Standards (TCVN) shall be invalid from 01 September 2019 and need to be renewed with new standards. It means test report need to be renewed with new standards accordingly.

2. QCVN 117:2017/BTTTT – New RF standard for LTE shall be implemented for TA and DoC since 01 September 2019.

3. Server, Router, Gateway, Firewall (without wireless connection) has been removed from list of product under MIC regulatory approval. This is applicable since 01 September 2019.

4. MIC lists applicable HS code and product description of products under MIC regulatory scope for easier import control implementation. If product description match, it will be under MIC regulatory approval scope. However, MIC does not confirm about HS code, it means if the product having different HS code but having same product description, it will still under MIC regulatory approval scope.

Remark:

New EMC standard QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT has been implemented already from 01 July 2019 and has replaced TCVN 7189:2009 for ITE and MME.
