South Korea Amends Measurement Standards for Electromagnetic Intensity

The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) of South Korea updated the measurements standard for the electromagnetic field intensity.

Thus, National Radio Research Commission Notice No. 2017-7 dated by April 4, 2017 was changed to the National Radio Research Commission Notice No. 2019-3 dated by March 4, 2019.

The main changes are:

Detailed information is given on the measurement of the electromagnetic wave intensity of radio stations according to Article 47-2 of the Radio Law.

Annexes from 1 to 5 are included with forms that should be filled after completing the measurement of electromagnetic field strength.

The calculation of the magnetic flux density of the electromagnetic strength criterion is set along with the power density from the measured field strength.

Information about the need to review and improve regulations every three years is added.
