Uzbekistan Releases New EMC Regulations

The EMC Regulation in Uzbekistan will come in force starting from May 28th, 2017.The requirements are introduced in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan No. 389 of November 21st, 2016.This Regulation sets forth mandatory requirements to electromagnetic compatibility of electrical products in the Uzbekistan market.

The products subject to new EMC Regulation in Uzbekistan are the following:

1. Electrical machines;

2. Electrical equipment;

3. Chemical and petroleum engineering products;

4. Metal- and woodworking machinery;

5. Computer facilities;

6. Automation products and instruments;

7. Automotive industry products;

8. Construction and public engineering products;

9. Processing equipment for the light and food industries;

10. Household equipment;

11. Agricultural engineering maintenance equipment;

12. Traffic control equipment;

13. Marine equipment;

14. Domestic radio electronic equipment;

15. Radar equipment;

16. Radio navigational equipment;

17. Nuclear equipment;

18. Aircraft equipment;

19. Space equipment;

20. Medical equipment;

21. Transport machine building equipment;

22. Power engineering equipment;

23. Heavy engineering equipment.

Requirements for packaging, marking and operational documents of the products subject to EMC requirements are also listed in the Regulation.

Until the EMC requirements come in force, only Safety requirements for electrical products must be confirmed via national UZ certificates of conformity to get Uzbekistan market access.
