Korea KC Certification Regulations Updated

The new Korean certification regulations will come into force on January 28, 2017, the new regulations on the electrical and electronic products to make the following changes to the general rules:

1. Electrical appliances and products management law into "electrical appliances and daily necessities Safety Management Law";

2. The introduction of one-time export (production) of the product certification system - no audits, can be done after the test certificate

(After January 28, 2017, customers can choose not to audit). But there will be some requirements and restrictions: the sample still need to be tested; certificate valid for the batch, and a maximum export of 100 products; KC certificate by the Korean importers to apply;

3. Routine annual inspection cycle

Now need to do a factory inspection; January 28, 2017 after: If the conditions are met once every two years audits;

4. The abolition of the safety certification certificate to declare the validity period (that is after January 28, 2017 certificate no longer valid);

5. The new supplier to confirm the object of compliance reporting system

Now the customer holds the KC report and DOC can be shipped and sold; after January 28, 2017: South Korean importers need to carry out product declaration (in the Korean Product Safety Association KPSA to register);

6. The importer can be a safety certification holder;

7. It has been certified KS products have to get KC certification

Now after the factory was KS certification can ship; January 28, 2017 after: the factory after the KS certification still need to apply for the product before the KC certificate to ship;

8. When sold through the network, you must mark the authentication information;

9. The abolition of voluntary certification system

Products that are not currently on the KC Control List may apply for KC certification; after January 28, 2017: Products not listed on the KC Control List may not apply for KC certification;
