EN 300 328 V2.1.1 (2016-11) New Standard Release
From the official ETSI news, to work in the 2.4 GHz ISM band and the use of broadband modulation technology, transmission systems and data transmission equipment testing and certification of CE EN300 328 V2.1.1 (2016-11) standard has been officially released, the standard will begin enforced in August 31, 2018, it covers the basic requirements of Article 3.2 of Directive 2014/53 / EU.
The current EN 300 328 standard has three versions: V1.8.1 / 1.9.1 / 2.1.1, but EN 300 328 V1.8.1 version of the standard has been discontinued in November 30.
With the V2.1.1 version of the standard official release, V1.9.1 version of the standard will also be discontinued in the August 31, 2018. This means that customers can now choose EN 300 328 V 1.9.1 (R & TTE) or EN 300 328 V2.1.1 (RED) .
The main differences between the two versions of V2.1.1 and V1.9.1 are as follows:
1. It is clear that the EN 300 328 V2.1.1 standard meets the basic requirements of Section 3.2 of the RED Directive 2014/53 / EU. 2. The individual test items in the V1.9.1 standard have additional requirements for medical devices operating in the 2.4G band, but these requirements have been removed from the V2.1.1 standard.
3. Receiver Blocking. The test item is the biggest change of a test item in the V2.1.1 standard. In the V1.8.1 and V1.9.1 standard provides only an adaptive device and e.i.r.p greater than 10dBm device only need to do receiver blocking test, but in the V2.1.1 version of the standard becomes mandatory test and item limits also become More stringent.
