Brazil ANATEL Opens Public Consultation For DoC Approval Of Telecom Devices

The Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL) of Brazil has released a public consultation Nº60. The main content of this consultation is about to regulate the operational procedure for approval of telecommunications product by Declaration of Conformity (DoC) with test report.
The proposed annex, titled "Operational Procedure for Approval of Telecommunications Products by Declaration of Conformity for Own Use intended for Amateur Radio, Citizen's Radio, Maritime Mobile, Aeronautical Mobile and Satellite Communication Services", establishes the conformity assessment of telecommunications products for personal use, specifically those intended for providing telecommunications services mentioned in this operational procedure. These products are to be approved by a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) based on type testing. Additionally, the Designated Certification Organization (OCD) will accept copies of certificate granted from the abroad agencies, replacing the need for test reports.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions before January 1st, 2024.
