Jordan TRC Updates SRD Technical Regulation

On August 30, 2023, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) in Jordan issued the updated technical regulation for Short Range Device.
Compared with the previous SRD regulation, the key revisions of new regulation are as follows:
1. Add 470 MHz – 694 MHz frequency band for wireless microphone equipment.
2. Delete the 915 MHz – 919.4 MHz frequency band used for Non-specific SRD.
3. Update the technical requirement for RFID devices in the 2446 MHz – 2454 MHz frequency band.
4. Remove the “indoor use only” restriction on 5250 MHz – 5350 MHz, and now 5150 MHz – 5250 MHz and 5250 MHz – 5350 MHz can be used in both indoor and outdoor.
5. Add the 5925 MHz – 6245 MHz frequency band. For information about Jordan’s Wi-Fi 6E, please refer to the international certification news released by MRT in May 2022.
