Brazil ANATEL Publishes New Act 9281 For Smart TV Box

Recently, he Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL) in Brazil published the new Act 9281 for the technical requirements for Smart TV Box product type conformity assessment.
The scope of the new act is covering Smart TV Box product type, characterized as terminal equipment intended for accessing audiovisual content via the Internet and displaying it on another device with a screen. Furthermore, personal computers, televisions, cell phones, tablets, and cable TV equipment do not fit into this classification.
The new regulation will come into enforce on September 11, 2023.
