Brazil ANATEL Publishes Act No. 8991
On June 27th, 2022, the Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL) in Brazil issued Act N° 8991, which establishes the technical requirements and authorizes the use conditions of spectrum for the 3.7 GHz to 3.8 GHz within restricted area. The purpose of this Act is to optimize the usage of the 5G frequency band in response to growing spectrum demand.
The new act entered into force on the date of publication.
