Vietnam MIC Issues Circular 29/2021/TT-BTTTT

On December 31, 2021, the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam has officially released Circular No. 29/2021/TT-BTTTT which plans the band 2300-2400 MHz to deploy mobile communication systems according to IMT-Advanced1 standards and subsequent versions.
Highlights of Circular 29/2021/TT-BTTTT as follows:
1. Allocate the frequency band 2300-2400MHz
a) The band segment 2300-2390 MHz is divided into three-time division duplex blocks, namely A1, A2, A3, each block has a width of 30 MHz;
b) The band segment 2390-2400 MHz is reserved as a guard band.
2.Enterprises licensed to use frequencies in the same band 2300-2400 MHz have the responsibility to coordinate with each other to avoid harmful interference, synchronize the data frame of the TDD method, and properly implement the contents of the license to use the frequency band.
This Circular applies to organizations, enterprises and individuals that manufacture, import, trade and use radio equipment in Vietnam. And it will take effect from February 15, 2022.
