Australia ACMA Issued Public Consultation on 3400-3475 MHz Band

On 27 August, 2021, the Australia Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) in Australia issued a Public Consultation for wireless broadband use of urban areas in the 3400-3475 MHz band.
ACMA developed proposed amendments to the 3.4 GHz spectrum license technical framework, covering the following aspects:
1．A plan to vary Radiocommunications assignment and licensing instruction (RALI) MS44;
2．Plans to convert NBN Co’s apparatus licenses in the 3400–3575 MHz band to spectrum licenses;
3．To work with NBN Co to surrender any licenses it holds in defined urban areas where it does not plan to provide terrestrial wireless broadband services.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions to ACMA before 30 September, 2021.
