German 5G Licence Increases Coverage Requirement
The German government ministers recently met with the federal network agency responsible person, to discuss the 5G spectrum auction related terms. Andreas Scheuer, the Minister of infrastructure, proposed more stringent coverage requirements.
At the meeting, representatives from the federal government and network bureau agreed to agree on the new rules of the new round of the upcoming auction application, telecom regulators will publish the plan at the end of the month. Scheuer said that the government is determined to develop mobile communications business in the country, which means that the digital era can not only benefit from the city, rural areas also need quality assurance.
It is reported that the new regulations will offer better coverage for railway transport lines rather than ordinary roads, high-speed road and State Road exclusive services. The new proposal calls for operators to increase railway coverage by three times in 2022, to achieve 100 trillion per second. Previously said that such big coverage is not economical and feasible way of using the existing frequency current 2GHz and 3.6GHz band, the future can be released for more spectrum.
