Brazil ANATEL Will Test EMC Radiation for Mandatory Communications Products

ANATEL announced Act 6506 on August 28, replacing the previous Exemption of Radiated Emission and Radiated Immunity testing, requiring wireless communications products (WLAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee, z-Wave, LoRa, NFC, RFID, ANT + etc) to undergo EMC radiated Emission and Radiated immunity tests.

The buffer period is one month. From September 28, 2018, all new or extended applications must be tested on the EMC Radiated project. The submitted application must be closed and submitted to ANATEL before September 27, 2018, otherwise the EMC Radiated project test will be required.
