Tablet Computers and lithium-ion Batteries Approved by Vietnam MIC

According to the announcement of 42/2016 / TT-BTTTT of MIC Vietnam, the radio, telecommunication equipment and information technology equipment (ITE) 4G / LTE or Wifi have been approved by the MIC Vietnam type certification according to the MIC type authentication and the declaration of conformity declaration, and the compliance statement is certified. The importer must also obtain the import license of the VNTA.

1. Applicable regulations

According to the specifications, the tablet can be adjusted in accordance with the following Vietnamese national technical regulations:

(1) QCVN 12：2015 / BTTTT（EN 301 511 and TS 151 010-1）;

(2) QCVN 86：2015 / BTTTT（EN 301 489-7）;

(3) QCVN 15：2015 / BTTTT（EN 301 908-1 and EN 301 908-2）;

(4) QCVN 47:2015 / BTTTT (RF for LTE - not conforming to ETSI standard);

(5) QCVN 54：2011 / BTTTT（EN 300 328）;

(6) QCVN 65：2013 / BTTTT（EN 301 893）;

(7) QCVN 18：2014 / BTTTT（EN 301 489-1）;

(8) QCVN 101:2016 / BTTTT - item 2.6 (IEC 62133 - only for lithium battery DoC);

(9) Increasing the required technical regulations since July 1, 2018 (notified by 18/2017 / TT-BTTTT): QCVN 112:2017 / BTTTT (EN 301489-17).

2. A tablet computer for model approval procedures and requirements

The documents required to apply for the type certification of the tablet computer are as follows:

(1) The form of application for type approval;

(2) A copy of the applicant's Vietnamese business license;

(3) Product specification table or product data sheet;

(4) Product photos;

(5) A qualified test report issued by a local laboratory or an overseas laboratory approved by MIC Vietnam according to MRA.

The attestation and certification center of the Vietnam Telecommunication Administration (VNTA) should review the application files and sign Certificate in 2 weeks when the application meets the requirements of MIC Vietnam and VNTA.

3. Conformance statement and VNTA import license process

After obtaining the type approval certificate of the tablet, the applicant must prepare the conformance declaration file and apply the VNTA for DoC again.

(1) A conformance statement form;

(2) A copy of the type approval certificate of the tablet computer;

(3) Product specification table or product data sheet;

(4) The copy of the applicant's business license;

(5) DoC certificate of lithium battery or complete required technical document and IEC 62133 report for lithium battery;

(6) The applicant's information and communication technology logo (with the "NAME" and "CODE" TA mandatory ICT sign);

(7) From April 1, 2018, Tablet PC will need TCVN 7189:2009 (CISPR 22 / EN 55022).
