Australia Releases Five Year Spectrum Planning
Australia's media administration ACMA recently released five years of spectrum planning, involving the allocation and application of future 5G bands.
According to the federal government earlier this month released 5G policy document shows, ACMA will be used to 5G business 3.6GHz spectrum auction in 2018. ACMA will disclose more details and relevant provisions of the 5G microwave spectrum, or determine the microwave spectrum in early 2018, 2018 announced planning decisions.
"Outlook" mentioned 2017-2021 five years in the spectrum, "some people predicted that 5G will lead the fourth industrial revolution, the Internet of things technology after major improvement is used in industry, agriculture and medical assistance for remote control and real-time interactive computer control machine, the automatic driving vehicle and intelligent city become a reality", "with the development of technology innovation and satellite communication, mobile communication and ground services, to improve the utility of spectrum through the planning, in order to support the new communication services in use on the basis of the existing".
At the same time, ACMA also issued the "3.6GHz band spectrum redistribution proposal draft", suggested that the spectrum is divided into 25 groups of 5MHz for instantaneous multi round increase price auction, and the license period changed to 12 years.
