Bangladesh Spectrum Auction Just Around the Corner

This week, Prime Minister ICT 4G consultant Sajeeb Wazed Joy asked Telecom regulators to arrange a spectrum auction within two months to speed up the deployment of the business and improve the quality of telecommunications services.

In a recent meeting of the Ministry of telecommunications, Joy gave guidance on a number of matters relating to digital processing and expressed concern about the quality of mobile operators. Joy agreed to allocate more spectrum resources to mobile operators to improve their business quality, and said that the Bangladesh Telecom Management Commission (BTRC) will issue relevant drafts and be implemented by the government. In addition, Joy suggested that BTRC actively invite the global mobile industry giant to invest in Bangladesh.
