Greece will Auction 1800MHz Band
The Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT), the Greek telecommunications regulator, is in the process of signing a letter of intent for the 1800 MHz band, which is currently owned by two of the country's three mobile operators (Vodafone and Wind Hellas), and the right to use expires in August this year. The Greek Telecommunications and Postal Commission (EETT) plans to re-auction the six bands in the 1800MHz band: three 2x5MHz symmetrical bands in the 1735MHz-1750MHz / 1830MHz-1845MHz (currently belong to Vodafone); three 2 × 5MHz symmetrical band in the 1710MHz-1725MHz / 1805MHz-1820MHz (currently belong to Wind Hellas).
