Pakistan PTA Opens Public Consultation On RLAN Regulatory Framework 2024
In June 2024, the Strategy & Development Division of the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) issued a Consultation Paper - RLAN Regulatory Framework 2024.
In the draft, PTA listed the Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) frequency bands and applied technical conditions, including the technical requirements of Wi-Fi 6E:
Frequency Band | Allowed Power | Usage | Power Spectral Density |
5925-6425 MHz | 23 dBm EIRP | Indoor use only | Power Spectral Density of RLAN operating under this provision shall not exceed 10 dBm/ MHz. |
14 dBm EIRP | Outdoor Use | Power Spectral Density of RLAN operating under this provision shall: i. Shall not exceed 1 dBm/ MHz. ii. Shall not exceed 10 dBm/ MHz for narrowband operations on BWs below 20 MHz. |
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions to PTA before July 21, 2024.
