Costa Rica SUTEL Allocated 5G Technology
Costa Rica's telecommunications regulator, the Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUTEL), has introduced a new resolution, RCS-216-2024, which updates the testing standards for cellular devices to include protocols for certifying 5G technology.
Key updates include the introduction of certification procedures for 5G devices under the new standard. However, dedicated 5G infrastructure has not yet been established by carriers in Costa Rica.
