Reminder: UAE ECAS No Longer Accepts IEC 62368:2014
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) of the United Arab Emirates has recently announced an update to the requirements for the Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) certification.
Safety reports based on IEC 62368-1:2014 are no longer accepted for ECAS applications in the UAE. Only safety reports that comply with the updated standards - IEC 62368-1:2018 or IEC 62368-1:2023 - will be accepted going forward.
