On January 4, 2023, the National Radio Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China issued "Radio Management Regulations for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Equipment in the 900 MHz Band (Draft for Comment)" and "Radio Management Regulations for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Equipment (Draft for Comments)” to solicit public comments.
The main points are as follows:
1. From the date of implementation of the "Radio Management Regulations for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Equipment in the 900MHz Frequency Band", the SRRC will no longer accept and approve the application of type approval for RFID equipment working at the 840-845 MHz, and the original "Regulations on the Application of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology in the 800/900 MHz Frequency Band (Trial Implementation)" will be abolished at the same time.
2. It is stipulated that the operating frequency range of UWB radio transmission equipment is 7235-8750 MHz. From the date of implementation of the "Radio Management Regulations for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Devices", the original "Notice of Regulations on Frequency Use of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Technology" will be abolished at the same time.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions before February 6, 2023.
