On February 9 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam launched a public consultation about the national technical regulation on Short Range Device (SRD)- Radio equipment to be used in the 9 kHz to 25 MHz frequency range.
The draft QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT regulation adds the following information, compared with the current technical regulation (QCVN 55:2011/BTTTT):
(1) The applicable frequency range extends from 9 kHz to 25 MHz to 9 kHz to 30 MHz, including the ISM frequency band 26.957 MHz to 27.283 MHz;
(2) MIC add HS codes for short range radio equipment operating in the frequency range 9 kHz - 25 MHz and magnetic ring equipment operating in the frequency range 9 kHz to 30 MHz.
MIC plans to enforce the standard QCVN 55:2023/BTTTT and replace QCVN 55:2011/BTTTT from August 1, 2024.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions to MIC before April 9, 2023.
