Ukraine Published Radio Equipment Usage Rules for 5G NR Bands

On June 4, 2025, Ukraine’s National Commission for the State Regulation of Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum, and Postal Services (NCEC) revised Decision No. 81, outlining the conditions for the use of radio equipment and radiating devices.

The revision includes the addition of 5G NR bands for conformity assessment applications:

·         Band 28

·         Band 77/78

Manufacturers are now able to apply for approval of their 5G NR equipment operating within these bands. However, it is important to note that 5G NR services are not yet available for public use in Ukraine.
