Uzbekistan Adopts Technical Regulation on Hazardous Substances in Electronics Device

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has adopted a new Technical Regulation (Resolution No. 517) to limit hazardous substances in electrical and radio electronic products. This regulation will come into force after February 15, 2026.

All covered electrical and radio electronic products must undergo a mandatory conformity assessment before being placed on the market. Products that meet these requirements must then be marked with a conformity mark.

Existing certificates of conformity obtained before the regulation's effective date will continue to be recognized until their stated expiration date, as outlined in Chapter 7 ("Transition Period") of the Technical Regulation.
