Malaysia SIRIM Allowed Application for 5G n79 and LTE B31& B39
On September 3, 2025, the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) issued Announcement SQASI/CMCS/1/25/0004, announcing that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has permitted the certification of IMT band (450MHz), band 39 (1900 MHz) and band 79 (4700 MHz), subject to the following conditions of use and certification requirements:

| Usage Condition | Intended for designated AA licensees operating private network services | Intended for designated AA licensees operating private network services | Intended for providing wireless telecommunication connectivity for railway radiocommunications only and may include applications such as mission-critical services, group communications, voice, video, images, and high-speed data. |
| Certification Requirements | Full compliance with the SRSP MS 4700 and Technical Code MCMC MTSFB TC T016:2021 | Full compliance with the SRSP MS 450 and Technical Code MCMC MTSFB TC T015:2022 | Full compliance with the SRSP MS 1900 and Technical Code MCMC MTSFB TC T015:2022. Application shall be supported with a declaration letter indicating that the equipment will be used exclusively for railway radiocommunication. |
