The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad & Tobago has released a public consultation with the title of “Equipment Standardisation and Certification Framework for the Telecommunications and Broadcasting Sectors” on November 1st, 2022. The main content of this consultation is about to remedy shortcomings of the existing framework in Trinidad and Tobago for equipment standardization and certification for telecommunications and broadcasting equipment.
The main consideration of the new Framework includes the follows:
 Consider to process applications for equipment certification for RF modules or sub-assemblies.
 Consider to change the validity of the certificate from permanent to 5 years.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions before November 30th, 2022.
