Pakistan PTA Enforced the New Type Approval Technical Standard Regulation
On 13 September, 2021, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) issued the Gazette to enforce new Type Approval Technical Standard Regulation 2021 officially. The new Regulation increases the types of products that require PTA Type Approval.
1. Tablet PC with Wi-Fi only functionality (only based on non-SIM device);
2. Smart watches with Bluetooth/Wi-Fi functionality only (without SIM or tracking);
3. Ultra-Wide Band devices.
