Brazil - ANATEL Publishes Act No. 3939

On 8th June 2021, the RF Regulator in Brazil - Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) released new Act nº3939, which establishes the operating procedure for approval of telecommunications product by Declaration of Conformity with test reports.
According to the provisions of Act No. 3939, for certain categories of products, when obtaining the declaration of conformity, test reports from foreign laboratories can be provided without the need for local testing in Brazil. The following are the main product categories:
1.Connectors;
2.Broadcasting equipment;
3.Equipment used in communication with satellites or the related satellite stations on Earth;
4.xDSL splitters.
