Brazil: ANATEL Releases Act No.77

The Brazil Regulatory - National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) released Act No.77 on January 4th, 2021.
Act No.77 establishes the cybersecurity requirement for products with Internet connection and will become a mandatory requirement starting from July 4th, 2021.
Now, the manufacturer of the equipment and the local applicant must submit a declaration letter for ANATEL’s review which indicate that products and its supplier meet the requirements listed in Act No.77 and promise to offer cybersecurity support to users when needed.
