RoHS Binding Requirements in the EAEU
Starting from March 1, 2020, requirements of the EAEU TR 037/2016 “On Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products” became mandatory in the EAEU.
We kindly reminds you that the following substances are ranked as hazardous:Lead,Mercury,Cadmium,Hexavalent chromium,Polybrominated biphenyls
To enter the market of the EAEU, the following categories of products must be free from the above-mentioned substances:
Electrical apparatuses and appliances for household use
Electronic computing machines and devices connected to them and their-combination
Telecommunication facilities
Photocopiers and other electrical office equipment
Electrified tools
Light sources and lighting equipment
Electronic music instruments
Gambling and vending machines
Cash registers, ticket printers, identification card readers
Cables and wires to be used at a rated voltage not exceeding 500V AC/DC except optical fibre cables
Circuit breakers and protective cutout devices
Fire detectors, security detectors and their combinations
In case homogeneous materials contain these hazardous substances, the maximum concentration value tolerated by weight in homogeneous materials should not exceed 0.01% for Cadmium and 0.1% for other substances.
Please, note that starting from March 1, 2020, every product subject to EAEU TR 037/2016 notwithstanding that it was imported to the EAEU market before this date, must confirm the compliance to EAEU TR 037/2016.
