Vietnam Issues Document 2902/BTTTT-KHCN

The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam has issued document 2902/BTTTT-KHCN. Following are the chief points described in document 2902/BTTTT-KHCN.

A CISPR 32:2015 test report can replace a QCVN 118:2018/BTTTT report.

Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz Zigbee, and wireless devices with output power less than 60 MW are exempt upon confirmation.

For the declaration of conformity for lithium batteries, test reports issued only by a designated local test laboratory or a foreign test laboratory recognized by MIC under MRA are allowed.

In order to complete Product Quality Inspection Regulation Procedures, importers of small quantities of laptops, tablets, and notebooks can request a test report issued by a foreign ISO /IEC 17025 testing laboratory for the declaration of conformity for lithium batteries.

Datasheets or declarations of conformity on test reports issued by foreign ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory can be used to cover test items under extreme testing conditions.

Test reports for DVB-T2 platform can be used for the declaration of conformity for DVB-T2 smart televisions.

For nearly all marine transceiver and transmitter standards, it is acceptable to use reports issued by manufacturers or foreign ISO/IEC 17025 testing laboratories for conformity certification and declaration.
