Germany Updates Energy Efficiency Labeling Requirements for Some Energy-Related Products

On December 10, 2015, the German Parliament adopted a law amending the Federal Energy Labelling Act 2002 in an effort to promote the replacement of old heaters with new more energy-efficient models.

The law also aims to implement European Delegated Regulations (EU) No 811/2013, 812/2013 and 518/2014 on the energy labelling of space heaters, combination heaters and packages of combination heaters, temperature controls and solar devices.

From September 26, 2019, the following revised energy efficiency label must be affixed on the products:
