CNCA Improves The Management Of CCC Certificate And Logo

On August 10, 2023, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the P. R. C(CNCA) issued the Announcement No. 12 of 2023, the subject of which is improving the management of China Compulsory Certification (CCC) certificates and logos. The highlights are as follows:
1. CCC certification will fully implements electronic certification certificates. The certification body will issue a physical certificate (hard copy) additionally if requested by the authorized applicant. The valid physical certificates (hard copies) that have been previously issued can continue to be used, and they will transition to electronic certificates through processes such as modification due to standard update and/or renewal due to expiration. Physical certificates (hard copies) hold the same legal effect as electronic certificates.
2.The issuance, usage of CCC certification certificate and logo should comply with the "Compulsory Product Certification Certificate Management Requirements" and "Compulsory Product Certification Logo Management Requirements".
The announcement will come into effect on January 1, 2024. The "Requirements for the Administration of Compulsory Product Certification Logo", issued by CNCA's Announcement No. 10 in 2018 will be abolished at the same time.
