Belarus Gives Amendment To Technical Regulation TR 2018/024/BY

On August 14, 2023, the Council of Ministers of Belarus issued Resolution No. 532, which amends the previous Resolution No. 469 dated June 20, 2018. The earlier resolution endorsed the technical regulation "Communication Devices. Safety" (TR 2018/024/BY), relevant to communication devices distributed within Belarus.
Key Amendments:
1. Expanded Exemptions
The amendment broadens the exemption list in TR 2018/024/BY to encompass sports, cultural events, and official foreign delegations approved by the President of Belarus.
2. Flexible Language Usage in Operational Documents:
While operational documents are required in Russian or Belarusian, they can include brand names, personal names, place names, and other details in various languages. International symbols may be used for units of measurement.
3. Revised Product List for DoC and CoC:
The updated product list applies to items requiring mandatory conformity certification or a declaration of conformity.
These changes under Resolution No. 532 will take effect from February 17, 2024, after a six-month transition period.
