Argentina ENACOM Issues New Testing Standards For Level Probing Radars

On August 16, 2023, the Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) in Argentina has published officially the Resolution 1134/2023 to allocate the frequency band 77.5 - 81 GHz for Radiolocation Service with primary category. Based on this, Level Probing Radars (Radares de Detección de Nivel) operating at 76 – 81 GHz are now allowed to be used in Argentina without separate authorization.
The new Resolution has also introduced and approved the technical document “IF-2023-33362595-APN-DNPYC#ENACOM” for the definition and technical requirements contained of Level Probing Radars and “ENACOM Q2-64.02 V22.1” for the testing requirements and operating conditions.
This new resolution and its technical standard came into effect from the publication of regulation, August 16, 2023.
