UAE TDRA Open Public Consultation On Regulations For UWB And SRD Equipment

On May 22, 2023, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) opens public consultation on regulations for Ultra Wide Band and Short Range Devices.
In comparison to the Regulations Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and Short Range Devices (SRD) Version 4.0 which TDRA published in 2020, some of the terms and technical conditions for some frequency bands in the regulations have been amended in this public consultation document. It is noteworthy that for Wi-Fi 6E technology (5925 MHz - 6425 MHz), TDRA has adjusted the output power limit from 250 mW to 200 mW and added the reference standard ECC/DEC/(20)01 DECISION (EU) 2021/1067.
All parties concerned can submit comments and suggestions before July 7, 2023.
