TEC Announces Two New Exemptions Under MTCTE For Precision Timing Protocol And Mobile Radio Trunking System

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) in India has announced two new notifications regarding exempted parameters under Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) on April 27 and May 3, 2023. The first exemption pertains to the Essential Requirements (ERs) of Precision Timing Protocol Grand Master Equipment and VHF UHF Radio System Equipment, with the exempted test parameters in effect until June 30, 2023 or until further notice. The second exemption exempts various test parameters pertaining to ER of Mobile Radio Trunking System (MRTS) under MTCTE until the same date.
