Colombia ANE And MinTIC Allocated 6 GHz For WAS Applications

The National Spectrum Agency (ANE) and the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC) of Colombia has published the resolution of No. 000737 of 2022 on November 18th, 2022, to establish the operating condition of the use of frequency band 5925-7125 MHz.
According to the new resolution, the use of the allocation of 6 GHz (5925-7125 MHz) is limited to indoor use only, and the access device must be powered directly from the electric grid, which means the use of batteries is not allowed. The allocation enables the use of Wireless Access Networks (WAS) applications such as Wi-Fi 6E.
